Overview
Position Summary

Carle Health is seeking a dedicated Floor Care Technician to join our Environmental Services team on our evening shift. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining all types of flooring surfaces-including carpet, vinyl, rubber, and ceramic-in accordance with established departmental standards and procedures. Your work plays a vital role in ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.


Key Responsibilities
  • Clean, maintain, and restore flooring surfaces using approved methods and equipment
  • Perform routine and deep cleaning of carpets, including extraction and spot treatment
  • Strip, wax, buff, and polish hard floors (vinyl, rubber, ceramic, etc.)
  • Operate floor care equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, and extractors safely and effectively
  • Follow infection prevention and safety protocols at all times
  • Maintain equipment and ensure proper storage and care of tools and supplies
  • Respond promptly to service requests and address spills or hazards as needed
  • Adhere to Environmental Services policies and standard operating procedures

Qualifications
  • Previous floor care or environmental services experience preferred
  • Ability to operate and maintain floor care equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and time management skills
  • Ability to lift, push, and maneuver equipment and supplies

Working Conditions
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and equipment

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $15.45per hour - $25.03per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
