HVAC Mechanic
The University of Miami/UHealth department of Facilities has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time HVAC Mechanic to work at the UHealth Medical Campus. The HVAC Mechanic performs building and equipment maintenance and repair with a focus on corrective needs of HVAC systems in assigned facilities. The HVAC Mechanic ensures that systems are working properly and are in compliance with applicable regulations.
Maintains work areas and equipment rooms in a clean and safe condition at all times.
Receives and responds to requests for repair work.
Keeps daily logs of work, performed and pending, updated.
Cleans, maintains, and paints equipment and machinery to prevent deterioration.
Repairs plumbing and leaky equipment on roofs and ceilings.
Advises appropriate managing staff of risk factors and repair needs beyond the mechanic's ability.
Prepares and maintains accurate records of equipment and facility preventative maintenance.
Tests and evaluates equipment performance using appropriate tools.
Inspects air conditioning and heating systems, and performs general maintenance of work systems.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 1 year of relevant experience

Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
