Job description

Kimball Equipment Company is a leading provider of heavy equipment, parts, and services for the aggregate and mining industry. Established in 1946, we are a third-generation family-owned business with 13 locations across the western United States. We pride ourselves on our commitment to excellence, customer service, and our core values.

We are seeking an experienced Conveyor Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience vulcanizing belts and doing mechanical splices in the field, conveyor maintenance and repair, be detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
The position involves primarily field work, but expected to work in the shop when not in the field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform conveyor belt vulcanization and mechanical splices.
  • Inspect, repair, and replace head and tail pulleys, shafts, and bearings.
  • Diagnose and resolve belt tracking issues.
  • Installation, calibration and repair of all the major brands of belt scales
  • Install and properly adjust skirt board rubber and other conveyor containment systems.
  • Strong understanding of the proper application of belting product to meet customer requirements
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all work performed, including job reports and pictures.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and industry regulations.
  • The ability to travel.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Required Experience:
  • Proven hands-on experience working with conveyor systems and components.
  • Experience with vulcanization and conveyor belt splicing techniques.
  • Basic mechanical skills and problem-solving skills
  • Previous field service experience in aggregate or mining settings.
  • Requires a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain an insurable driving record
  • Additional Skills:
  • Basic welding and cutting torch skills a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings or weekends, as needed.
  • Ability to work safely and follow all safety protocols.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs).
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoor field locations and indoor shop settings.
  • Capability to stand, climb, bend, and work in tight spaces for extended periods.
