THE LONGBOARD [ST. THOMAS] - DISHWASHER
♦ NO LATE NIGHTS
♦ HOLIDAY CLOSURES [THANKSGIVING DAY amp; CHRISTMAS DAY]

THE ATMOSPHERE
The Longboard St. Thomas is the third iteration of the concept originally opened on St. John in the US Virgin Islands in 2015. Like its flagship, the STT location offers innovative and refined seafood-forward island fare, and a lively bar program featuring Caribbean-inspired craft cocktails. The laid-back lifestyles of St. Thomas and St. John mesh perfectly to create a relaxed, coastal vibe in a vibrant setting.

THE IDEAL MATCH
The dishwasher is responsible for the organization and cleanliness of the dish area and helps with additional BOH duties as needed. Our dishwashers support the team and help to create and maintain an exciting, inviting, and progressive environment. This person should be a high-energy, enthusiastic individual who is self-motivated, eager to learn, and adaptable. We offer a unique, fun environment with the opportunity to grow within the company.
BALANCED HOSPITALITY
The Longboard St. Thomas brings a fresh, vibrant take on coastal Caribbean dining—where tropical, casual vibes meet elevated experiences. Our restaurants are destinations that blend music, sunshine, island flavors, and top-tier hospitality into unforgettable moments. We’re laid-back but dialed-in. Professional but never stuffy. Every guest is welcomed like family— and we take that seriously.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Responsible for organization, cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance of the dishes, dish area, and related machinery
  • Run airtight operational systems to guarantee an immaculate, "A-Grade" health inspection environment.
  • Wash, sanitize and organize small wares, dishes, glasses, silverware, and cooking supplies
  • Keep the kitchen, dish station, and storage areas looking clean, clutter-free, and well organized
  • Keep an eye on kitchen essentials, restock on the fly, and give management a heads-up before supplies run low.
  • Assist with cleaning and maintenance of the restaurant; sweep and clean the floors.
  • Keep the trash bins clean, sorted, and regularly cleared.
  • Pitch in when delivery trucks arrive—unload, organize, and stock supplies where they need to go.
  • Assist with proper opening and closing of the restaurant; perform related work as requested.
  • Work with speed, efficiency, and pride in keeping things spotless.
  • Keep the Chef and Manager on Duty in the loop on all things kitchen related.
  • Be a culture builder—bring positive energy, authenticity, reliability, and pride in how you show up every day.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
  • Motivated self-starter with excellent standards of cleanliness
  • Superior temperament and adaptable nature
  • Motivated professional with a passion for creating great experiences and keeping the kitchen energy high
  • Demonstrate integrity in all areas, both personal and professional
  • Must be able to operate effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly

  • Work hard, stay sharp, and have fun. We bring passion and professionalism to everything we do while keeping it light, positive, and full of energy. Excellence and enjoyment go hand-in-hand.
EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER | COME AS YOU ARE
At The Longboard St. Thomas, we believe great hospitality starts with great people, and that means all people. We don’t care what you look like, where you’re from, who you love, or how you identify.
