Business Development Consultant (3PL / Logistics Sales)

Location: On-Site – Lithia Springs, GA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Travel: Local and occasional out-of-town travel required

Join a Growing Logistics Leader and Help Businesses Move Smarter

Are you a relationship-driven sales professional with experience in third-party logistics (3PL) and a passion for helping customers solve supply chain challenges?

At Fulfillment Strategies International (FSI), we are looking for a high-performing Business Development Consultant to join our growing team and help drive the next phase of our expansion. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced logistics sales professional who thrives on building relationships, identifying opportunities, and delivering customized fulfillment and distribution solutions that help businesses grow.

If you enjoy consultative selling, meeting clients face-to-face, developing long-term partnerships, and being part of a collaborative team where your contributions matter—we want to meet you.

Why Join FSI?

At FSI, you’re not just selling logistics—you’re helping companies improve efficiency, scale their operations, and strengthen customer experiences.

We offer:

  • Opportunity to work with an established and growing 3PL organization
  • Collaborative, supportive leadership team
  • Business casual, team-oriented environment
  • Competitive benefits package
  • Employer-matched 401(k)
  • Employer-paid medical coverage
  • Dental and vision benefits
  • Career growth and advancement opportunities
  • The ability to make a measurable impact in a fast-moving industry

What You’ll Do

As a Business Development Consultant, you will play a key role in generating new business, growing strategic accounts, and delivering logistics solutions tailored to customer needs.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and grow new business opportunities for FSI’s logistics and fulfillment services
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers
  • Leverage industry knowledge and existing relationships to identify opportunities with businesses that regularly ship products
  • Meet with prospects and clients in person to understand fulfillment, warehousing, and shipping challenges
  • Present customized 3PL, fulfillment, warehousing, and distribution solutions
  • Manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and discovery through implementation and long-term account growth
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within customer accounts and the broader logistics marketplace
  • Serve as a liaison between customers and internal operational teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service execution
  • Conduct field visits and maintain strong customer engagement
  • Track sales activity, opportunities, and pipeline performance through CRM systems
  • Provide exceptional customer service and account support
  • Partner with leadership, operations, and implementation teams to ensure customer success
  • Assist with business marketing initiatives including social media content, blog contributions, and brand visibility efforts

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a motivated, results-oriented professional who combines logistics expertise with strong relationship management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven success selling third-party logistics (3PL), fulfillment, warehousing, or transportation solutions
  • Experience building and maintaining business relationships that generate recurring shipping or logistics opportunities
  • Strong consultative sales, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Ability to build trust and develop long-term customer partnerships
  • Experience managing opportunities through a CRM platform
  • Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Business Development Manager and works closely with operations and leadership teams to ensure a strong customer experience from onboarding through account growth.

Work Environment & Travel

This is a full-time, on-site position. While flexibility may occasionally be available based on business needs, this role requires an in-person presence and regular client engagement.

  • Local travel: Frequent and expected
  • Out-of-town travel: Occasional, based on customer and business needs
