The Care Team Assistant (CTA) is a critical role at Erie that performs a variety of patient care activities to support both our Providers and Medical Assistants in the delivery of services to ensure timely and comprehensive care.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
โ€ข Maintains and prepares exam rooms, ensuring they are cleaned, sterilized, and stocked appropriately to provide excellent patient experience
โ€ข Assists with scheduling appointments for general follow ups, testing, and procedures as instructed
โ€ข Provides discharge summary requirements and next steps
โ€ข Helps with sensitive exam requirements
โ€ข Ensures all faxing and printing documents are complete
โ€ข Performs related job duties as necessary.
โ€ข The work schedule for this role is aligned with Erie's hours of operations.
Education
Required:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred:
  • Associate degree or two (2) years of college a plus.

Experience:
Preferred:
  • Six (6) months of related experience in a healthcare or customer service role.
  • On the job training will be provided for individuals without prior healthcare experience

Skills and Knowledge
Required:
  • Current CPR.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Cultural competency to work with a diverse patient population.

Preferred:
  • Bilingual fluency to assist or work with non-English speaking patients and/or guests.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office a plus.
  • Intermediate EPIC skills are a plus.
