Cardiovascular Interventional Radiologic Technologist

In this critical role, you will assist in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions using advanced imaging technologies and radiologic techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures, including angiograms, stent placements, and catheterizations.
  • Operate cardiovascular imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT, and MRI scanners.
  • Assist physicians in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, providing technical support and ensuring patient safety.
  • Prepare and position patients for exams, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout the process.
  • Monitor patients during procedures, ensuring vital signs are stable and managing any emergency situations.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and assist with procedural documentation.
  • Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
  • Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities to stay up-to-date with industry advancements.
Qualifications:
  • Certification: ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Radiography, and must have CVIR (Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology) certification or equivalent.
  • State License: Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (Ohio).
  • Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in cardiovascular interventional radiology preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical training are also encouraged to apply.
  • Skills: Proficiency in operating cardiovascular imaging equipment, strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy, and excellent communication skills.
