They operate specialized equipment, follow safety protocols, and often work closely with cardiologists in hospital or clinical settings. Certification and technical skills in radiologic technology are typically required for this role.

What jobs can you get with a cardiovascular technology degree?

Find Your Purpose in the Quiet Power of Cardiac Imaging

Where Your Radiologic Skills Meet Heartfelt, High-Impact Work

Somewhere between the rustle of golden cornfields and the quiet steadiness of old brick towns, there's a hospital where the work is urgent, the mission is clear, and every team member is seen. In the heart of central Ohio—where wooded trails meet historic town squares—you'll find more than just a career. You'll find a calling.

As a Cardiovascular Interventional Radiologic Technologist in our Cath Lab, you'll step into a role that blends high-tech precision with human connection. You'll perform life-changing procedures, work side-by-side with a team that trusts and empowers you, and help patients on their journey to healing—one image, one heartbeat at a time.

Whether you're scrubbing in during a stent placement, fine-tuning a C-arm for optimal imaging, or explaining post-procedure care to a family with steady warmth, you'll be part of something bigger: a care culture rooted in skill, compassion, and deep community values.

The Role: Advanced Imaging, Real-World Impact

In this full-time Cath Lab position, your expertise in interventional radiology and cardiac procedures will come to life. You'll work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with a weekly on-call rotation and every fourth weekend scheduled. It's a schedule built for consistency, balance, and strong team coverage.

Your responsibilities will include assisting physicians with invasive cardiovascular procedures, managing patient positioning and sterile technique, and performing radiographic imaging in real time. You'll collaborate closely with cardiologists, monitor EKGs and vital signs, and play a key role in ensuring patient safety throughout each phase of care.

You'll be empowered to make decisions, use your judgment, and bring clarity to fast-moving clinical moments. From prepping patients and explaining sedation protocols to monitoring procedural outcomes and documenting in real-time, your work will carry deep significance.

This isn't just about scanning—it's about seeing. And being seen.

The Team: Skilled, Supportive, and All In

Inside the Cath Lab, every shift is a coordinated effort. You'll join a multidisciplinary team of registered nurses, interventional cardiologists, and other technologists who move together like a well-rehearsed ensemble. There's no posturing here—just professionalism, communication, and shared pride in excellent patient outcomes.

You'll be part of a team that values growth, mentorship, and mutual support. New ideas are welcomed. Voices are heard. And your experience will be met with the trust and autonomy it deserves. Whether you're mentoring a new hire, jumping in on a code, or helping refine a process, you'll be respected as a crucial member of a high-functioning department.

The Place: A Scenic, Supportive Life Beyond the Lab

Outside the hospital, the setting offers a quality of life that's hard to find elsewhere. Located in the rolling, green landscape of central Ohio, this small-town region is known for its scenic trails, strong community spirit, and rich blend of tradition and progress.

You'll enjoy tree-lined streets that glow with autumn color, cozy diners where everyone knows your order, and outdoor spaces that invite you to slow down and recharge. Whether you're kayaking down a river trail, biking through an old railroad corridor, or browsing the shelves at a locally owned bookstore, life here moves with intention.

Best of all, there's time for it. No hour-long commutes. No gridlocked freeways. Just space to live well, rest well, and find meaning in both your work and your downtime

What You'll Need to Succeed

We're seeking a credentialed, compassionate, and highly skilled imaging professional ready to step into a fast-paced cardiac care environment.

You'll need to be a graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program with a current Ohio Radiographer License and ARRT (R.T.) certification. Additional certification in Cardiovascular (CV), Cardiac Intervention (CI), or Vascular Intervention (VI) is a plus—and a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) designation will elevate your candidacy.

You must have BLS certification, and ACLS must be obtained within one year of hire. Comfort with advanced imaging systems, contrast injectors, and hemodynamic monitors is essential. Beyond technical ability, we're looking for a thoughtful communicator, a steady presence, and someone who understands the power of patient-centered care.

Why This Opportunity Matters

This is more than just a Cath Lab technologist job. It's a long-term opportunity to deepen your expertise in a setting that supports both career and personal growth.

In return for your skills, we offer a $20,000 sign-on bonus (with a two-year agreement), consistent scheduling, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement with match, paid time off, and education support. You'll also enjoy access to professional development, peer mentorship, and a workplace culture built on teamwork and integrity.

But more than perks, this role offers purpose. It's a chance to grow into the healthcare professional you've always wanted to be—supported, seen, and inspired by the team around you.
