Job description

Position: Cardiovascular Technologist / Invasive Cardiac Technologist, RCIS/RCES

Location: Richmond, VA

Shifts Available: Variable

Status: Full Time / Permanent

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced patient care by performing invasive and noninvasive diagnostic procedures. The role involves assisting physicians during cardiac catheterization, interventional procedures, and electrophysiology studies. The ideal candidate has a thorough understanding of invasive cardiology techniques, equipment, and patient management.


Responsibilities:

  • Performs multiple interventional and therapeutic cardiovascular procedures under the direction of the Cardiologist or other specialized physician, including operating cardiovascular and radiographic equipment and sterile field assistance.  
  • The technologist will also be responsible for physiologic monitoring (ECG and B/P) and evaluating patient status throughout the procedure.



Requirements:

  • Satisfactory completion of formal training in an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology and able to meet requirements for registry by American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) OR Certification as RCIS or equivalent (RCES, RT)
  • Current CPR ( BLS) and ACLS
  • Must have at 2 years of current Cardiovascular Tech experience or acute care experience (if no certification)
  • Knowledge of radiographic, physiologic monitoring and other related equipment used in Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab
  • Able to adapt and vary work routine as needed and willing to cross train in related job areas
  • Clinically proficient in Cath Lab procedures demonstrating a knowledge of the developmental needs of the adolescent, adult and geriatric patient
