Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Position requires rotational OCONUS deployments.
  • Works directly with the Shift Lead to manage, control and direct resources to accomplish scheduled and unscheduled organizational-level maintenance utilizing applicable Air Force directives/instructions on MQ-9 aircraft and associated equipment.
  • Directs and assists in the inspection, troubleshooting, and operations of communications equipment to include Ground Control Stations, Ground Data Terminals, standard 6 radio frequency, line-of-sight, beyond line-of-sight, wideband, ground-based satellite, peripheral computer/communications and cryptographic equipment.
  • Schedules satellite communications airtime and coordinates link activation with Department of Defense and civilian agencies.
  • Assembles, connects, secures and interconnects components such as transmitters, power supplies and antenna assemblies.
  • Monitors and de-conflicts transmit/receive signals to ensure optimum performance and prevents interference with other satellite users.
  • Installs network technical solutions for real-time video dissemination via Remote Split Operations architecture.
  • Enforces strict adherence to technical data and management procedures.
  • Ensures aircraft and equipment forms and Maintenance Information System documentation is complete, accurate and accomplished. Implements disaster control duties and responsibilities pertaining to aircraft/SE movement and personnel evacuation.
  • Follows established CANN procedures and updates CANN action status on assigned aircraft.
  • Understands aircraft status and inventory reporting as covered in Air Force Instruction 21-103 and applicable supplements. Informs and provides aircraft status updates to Shift Lead and the Maintenance Operations Control Center.
  • Verifies MICAP conditions exist and reviews MICAP‘s status daily for accuracy.
  • Ensures strict compliance and adherence with environmental directives and applicable environmental protection/compliance guidance.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable government safety directives, standards, and industrial safety publications.
  • Encourages a work environment of zero accident and injuries including no lost time accidents.
Requirements:

Required Education and Experience

  • Must have at least four (7) years of experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • Must have at least one (1) year of experience on the MQ-1 and/or MQ-9 aircraft.

  • Eligible and obtain (if required) a DoD Personnel Security Clearance.
  • Must have a valid US Passport.
  • Must successfully complete CONUS Recovery Center (CRC) training to deploy.
  • Must comply with all company Information Systems security policies and procedures.

Language Skills

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret the complex word and technical documents/diagrams.

Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing and work effectively as part of a team.

Reasoning Ability and Mathematical Skills

Must be able to analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. An ability to interpret complex customer requirements and attitudes from verbal, non-verbal, and written communication is desirable. Must be able to calculate figures and numbers, and percentages and be able to draw and interpret graphs. Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and drawings.
