The Captain Fit Mental Health Clinic is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team in Atlanta, Georgia. As a remote mental health counselor at Captain Fit, you will have the flexibility to work from your preferred location while being fully integrated into our established clinical team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patientsโ€™ mental health status during initial consultations.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop tailored therapy plans that address their unique challenges, including substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing therapeutic modalities that promote recovery and growth.
  • Monitor and document patient progress in their treatment journey using our EHR systems, adjusting therapy plans as necessary based on client feedback and clinical observations.
  • Provide referrals to other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists or social service agencies, when appropriate to enhance patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your expertise will serve a diverse range of clients experiencing various mental health challenges. You will work with individuals facing formidable obstacles such as substance abuse issues, mood disorders, and anxiety. Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience providing mental health services.
  • In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and the application of evidence-based treatment methods.
  • Ability to maintain professional ethics and confidentiality in all patient interactions.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated experience delivering both individual and group therapy with a strong emphasis on culturally responsive practices.
  • Advanced crisis intervention skills with a proven ability to manage high-stress situations effectively.
  • Proficiency in using EHR systems and related technological tools for patient documentation and communication.
  • A track record of successful collaboration within interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, with an annual income of USD 80,000 to 100,000, accompanied by an additional incentive of up to a $1,000 sign-on bonus.
