Job description

The Cardiac and Vascular Institute of Gainesville, FL seeks to be the provider of choice for cardiovascular care to the people of North Central Florida by combining state of the art comprehensive cardiac services and care with innovative technology. We are proud to be certified as a GREAT PLACE TO WORK® . We are seeking a HOLTER and EVENT MONITOR TECHNICIAN in the DEVICE department of our practice. This position is located in zip code 32605.Title: Holter and Event Monitor Technologist
Primary Functions:
Properly applies Holter Monitors and Event Monitors and explains their uses to patients;
Downloads Holter and Event Monitor results promptly to facilitate a rapid turn around time for new patients;
Scans Holter Monitor results and provides summary reports to the physician on a timely basis, calling their attention to possible problematic abnormalities;
Makes revisions of written summaries as necessary;
Prepares final Holter and Event reports for the reading physician;
Maintains an atmosphere that supports customer service and patient satisfaction;
Performs related work as assigned.
Education: Associate degree or equivalent preferred.
Licensure: Current BLS Certification
Experience: Previous experience in a nursing environment with competent knowledge of basic cardiac rhythms. Experience in EKG/ECG interpretation is required
