As a Crutchfield Car Installer you will:

  • Preform installation of a variety of 12-volt accessories, including A/V source units, factory replacement speakers, amplification, integration devices, Safety and collision avoidance systems, and remote-start/security systems.
  • Restock and maintain inventory
  • Learn our installation shop standards and protocols, as well as maintain shop cleanliness
  • Use a variety of diagnostic tools, such as digital multimeters and load testers
  • Engage our customers with a friendly, helpful rapport
  • Develop an understanding of our company’s Basic Beliefs and Noble Purpose


Qualifications:

  • Prior experience installing car audio equipment such as radios, speaker, amplifiers and subwoofers.
  • Good hand dexterity and fine motor skills
  • Ready to work in confined areas, such as vehicle trunks and under dashes
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, crouch and bend repeatedly, and sit or stand for long periods of time
  • Eagerness to learn
  • Ability and willingness to learn more about consumer electronics
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Basic MECP Certification or ability to obtain within 3 months
  • Valid VA driver's license and acceptable driving record


Salary and Advancement:

We offer a structured career path with opportunities to advance from Installer Level 1 through Installer Level 4. Starting level and pay are based on prior installation experience, skills, and qualifications, with compensation ranging from $16.80 to $18.53 per hour plus monthly incentives. As installers gain experience and demonstrate proficiency, they have opportunities for continued advancement and increased earnings.

In addition to hourly wages, installers participate in a monthly incentive program and earn a portion of the labor dollars generated from the installs they perform. This performance-based compensation rewards productivity and quality workmanship. Experienced installers typically earn $39,000 to $50,000 per year, with uncapped incentives that allow top performers to exceed $50,000 annually.

We’re committed to supporting professional growth. Installers who earn an MECP Skilled Certification receive a $750 bonus, while those who achieve MECP Expert Certification earn a $1,000 bonus. Already have an MECP Skilled or Expert certification? You will receive the certification bonus on top of your $500 sign-on bonus.
