Job Summary for Car Detailer

The Automotive Detailer is responsible for cleaning, detailing, and preparing vehicles for auction to ensure they meet company appearance and quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start or grow a career in the automotive industry, with hands-on training provided in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate takes pride in delivering high-quality work and enjoys physically active, detail-focused tasks.

Key Responsibilities for Car Detailer:

  • Clean and detail vehicle exteriors, interiors, and engine compartments.
  • Prepare vehicles to meet auction-ready appearance and quality standards.
  • Use detailing tools, equipment, and cleaning products safely and effectively (training provided).
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure vehicles are completed on schedule.
  • Follow company safety procedures and operational guidelines.

Work Hours for Car Detailer:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 9AM - 5PM
  • Wednesday 7:30AM - 5:00PM
  • Friday 9AM - 1:00PM

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities for Car Detailer:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions.

Education and Experience for Car Detailer:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior detailing experience is a plus but will consider a skilled trade background.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to comply with all company policies and uphold standards for service quality.

Physical Requirements for Car Detailer:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
  • Work is performed in an auto auction setting and may include exposure to temperature changes, all types of weather conditions, elevated noise levels, and occasional fumes or odors associated with vehicle exhaust.
  • Position requires standing, bending, lifting, and physical activity throughout the workday.
