Company Overview


Diamond Environmental Services is an essential sanitation service to critical infrastructure work for construction, energy, waste, and healthcare industries and government sites. We are open and operating with the safety of our employees and customers coming first and foremost. With over 20 years industry experience Diamond Environmental Services has become one of Southern California's premier portable sanitation companies. With Locations serving the counties of San Diego, Riverside, and Orange, San Bernardino and Los Angeles, we provide all types of portable sanitation services and temporary fencing to both commercial and residential customers.


Summary


Our EH&S Manager plays a pivotal role in minimizing liability by proactively developing, managing, and coordinating health, safety, and environmental policies across Diamond and ensuring compliance with Cal/OSHA, CHP, and IIPP standards.


Responsibilities


  • Lead and foster a culture of continual environmental improvement across all sites through daily focus and effective leadership of environmental priorities
  • Monitor key environmental issues and impacts; keep site managers informed of incidents or issues that may lead to legal proceedings
  • Analyze and improve business processes in alignment with all environmental plan strategies
  • Prepare monthly incident/accident statistical reports for management meetings
  • Liaise with consultants and legal teams to identify and minimize environmental risks from operations and products
  • Work with site managers to pursue a materials strategy based on Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle principles
  • Advise managers on proper waste disposal in compliance with company policy
  • Provide timely health & safety guidance and support to site managers companywide, including interpretation of Safety 52 procedures
  • Conduct regular site visits across all locations to audit and assist site managers with environmental and safety compliance
  • Drive continuous improvement in environmental management practices and individual awareness of environmental sustainability
  • Manage and ensure compliance with CUPA programs
  • Meet all Company Core Values: Service, Trust, Accountability, Respect, Safety (STARS).


Required qualifications


  • 5+ years of EH&S / safety management experience
  • Bilingual English / Spanish
  • Strong knowledge of Cal/OSHA Title 8 and IIPP requirements
  • Experience with field operations or environmental services
  • OSHA 30-hour certification (General Industry or Construction)
  • Valid California driver license — must remain insurable under company auto policy
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs; prolonged sitting, standing, bending/squatting
  • Availability for weekends, holidays, and all shifts as needed


Preferred qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • CSP (Certified Safety Professional) designation
  • Bloodborne pathogens / sanitation operations background
  • SWPPP / stormwater compliance knowledge
  • DOT / CHP fleet compliance experience
  • Multi-site or regional EH&S management


Pay: $90,000 + depending on experience
