Lead Projects That Shape Northern Nevada

Are you the type of Project Manager who thrives in the field, solves problems before they become issues, and takes pride in delivering profitable projects?

We're seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to join a growing heavy civil construction team that is helping build the infrastructure, commercial developments, roadways, utilities, and sitework projects driving Northern Nevada's continued growth.

This is not a desk-only position.

We're looking for a leader who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day operations of projects, partnering with field teams, driving schedules, managing budgets, and building strong client relationships from start to finish.

What You'll Be Doing

Own Projects From Start to Finish

  • Manage projects from pre-construction through final closeout

  • Lead project execution, scheduling, budgeting, and overall performance

  • Maintain accountability for project profitability, timelines, and client satisfaction

  • Identify issues early and develop solutions that keep projects moving

Financial Management & Cost Control

  • Monitor budgets, forecasting, production quantities, and job costs

  • Track project financial performance and protect margins

  • Manage billing, change orders, subcontractor costs, and cost recovery

  • Prepare accurate financial reporting and project forecasts

Field Operations Partnership

  • Work closely with Superintendents and field teams to ensure successful project execution

  • Coordinate manpower, equipment, subcontractors, and materials

  • Participate in project planning and production meetings

  • Remove obstacles impacting schedule, safety, or productivity

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors

  • Build strong client relationships through communication, accountability, and responsiveness

  • Lead project meetings and maintain alignment between all project stakeholders

Risk Management & Project Controls

  • Review contracts, plans, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change requests

  • Proactively identify risks related to schedule, cost, quality, and safety

  • Develop strategies to minimize project impacts and protect profitability

Project Closeout

  • Manage punch lists, final billing, turnover documentation, and project completion requirements

  • Ensure projects are closed professionally and clients remain highly satisfied

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in:

    • Heavy Civil Construction

    • Earthwork

    • Site Development

    • Underground Utilities

    • Concrete Construction

  • Strong understanding of:

    • Job Costing

    • Budget Management

    • Financial Forecasting

    • Scheduling & Production Tracking

  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Software Experience

Experience with one or more of the following:

  • HCSS

  • Procore

  • Sage

  • HeavyJob

  • Other construction management software platforms

Preferred

  • Large-scale site development experience
