Automotive ADAS Validation / Diagnostics Engineer

Locations:

Duration: Long Term

Job Summary

We are seeking experienced Automotive ADAS Validation / Diagnostics Engineers with strong automotive systems knowledge and hands-on experience in testing, diagnostics, and Functional Safety (FuSa). The ideal candidate should be capable of explaining the complete technical scope of their current project, including system architecture, validation strategy, diagnostics implementation, and defect management processes.

Required SkillsAutomotive Domain
  • Strong understanding of Automotive Systems and Vehicle Architecture.

  • Experience working on ADAS, Body Electronics, Powertrain, Chassis, or related automotive ECUs.

  • Good understanding of CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS Diagnostics, and vehicle communication protocols.

  • Experience with automotive development lifecycle and V-model process.

ADAS & Diagnostics
  • Experience in ADAS feature validation and testing.

  • Strong knowledge of Diagnostics (UDS, DTCs, Diagnostic Services, Fault Injection).

  • Understanding of ECU-level and vehicle-level diagnostics validation.

  • Ability to analyze system requirements and create validation scenarios.

Functional Safety (FuSa)
  • Good understanding of ISO 26262 Functional Safety concepts.

  • Experience validating safety requirements and safety mechanisms.

  • Exposure to safety analysis, fault handling, and diagnostic coverage verification.

Testing & Automation
  • Strong experience in automotive testing and validation.

  • Hands-on experience with CAPL scripting.

  • Good Python programming skills for automation and test development.

  • Experience with test case development, execution, and reporting.

  • Knowledge of test automation frameworks and validation methodologies.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze system and software requirements.

  • Develop and execute test cases for ADAS and diagnostics features.

  • Perform ECU and vehicle-level validation activities.

  • Create CAPL scripts and Python automation for testing.

  • Validate Functional Safety requirements and safety mechanisms.

  • Investigate, reproduce, and track defects through closure.

  • Support integration, regression, and system validation activities.

  • Prepare test reports and provide validation status updates.

  • Collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure product quality.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.

  • Prior experience with OEMs or Automotive Tier-1 suppliers.

  • Experience in ADAS domain validation and diagnostics testing.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical implementations in detail.
