Capital Markets & Analytics Product Management is a unique and high profile space, responsible for discovering, delivering and optimizing products and capabilities that fundamentally transform how our Capital Markets associates work and enable us to deliver valuable insights using modernized technologies and core data services. In addition to your contributions on overall portfolio and product strategies, you'll also play a key role in building our Product Management organization. You'll help shape our culture and our people, provide mentorship for your teammates and be an ambassador for Product Management and for the Finance Product & Data Solutions team.

Our product team is part of a larger group focused on the transformation of Finance at Capital One.

This is a unique Capital Markets opportunity to define and execute on a bold product vision from inception! The Product Manager will collaborate closely with customers including: Treasury, Trading, Balance Sheet Management, and Risk & Capital Analytics.

Our key priorities are revolutionizing the Capital Markets and Analytics platform through:

Product Innovation- Delivering innovative products and platforms, driving forward the vision for Capital Markets across balance sheet risk management, treasury, and trading functions.

Optimization- Re-envisioning and streamlining the overall finance experience inclusive of trading, risk management, collateral management and end of month close.

Data Streamlining- Revamping the data ecosystem to consume and leverage streamlined and enriched data end to end.

In the Product Management role, you will:

  • Establish the vision, strategy, and execution of Treasury, Trading, and bank balance sheet risk management products, data, and services through understanding of the strategic Finance direction and technology architecture and big picture business needs.

  • Create frameworks for and directly manage the prioritization of the work, capabilities, components, and infrastructures that are used by multiple customer solutions and customer facing products.

  • Confidently communicate and evangelize product and portfolio strategy across large organizations and executives to influence stakeholders to align behind the objectives

  • Create and provide frameworks for regularly and systematically using data to uncover opportunities, track product performance, and drive decision making

  • Prioritize, negotiate and remove blockers to orchestrate successful launch or optimization cycles

  • Inspire, enable and empower teams to execute with a sense of urgency to deliver solutions and on priorities

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in and passion for ideating, building and implementing great digital products

  • Experience with Treasury and Capital Markets products and data

  • Experience in organizational change management including transforming and improving ways of working and interaction models

  • Deep knowledge of the Product Management discipline and experience in building and maturing Product teams

  • Strong ability to set a vision and lead, develop and inspire teams to develop innovative products that have high adoption and drive value for internal customers

  • Exceptional communication skills -- an engaging storyteller at ease presenting to executives

  • Creative problem solver who provides leadership at the intersection of the human, business and technology dimensions.

  • Blend of both strategic and tactical thinking -- someone who can identify and prioritize opportunities in highly ambiguous contexts, and then organize work in deep detail; aligning long term vision with iterative execution

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • At least 7 years of Product Management experience

  • Data Management Experience

  • 3+ years of Agile Product Management experience

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Cambridge, MA: $269,600 - $307,700 for Sr. Dir, Product Management


McLean, VA: $269,600 - $307,700 for Sr. Dir, Product Management


New York, NY: $294,100 - $335,700 for Sr. Dir, Product Management


Richmond, VA: $245,100 - $279,800 for Sr. Dir, Product Management








Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.

This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
