Maintenance Technician – Omaha Area

Join the Burlington Capital Properties Maintenance Team!

Burlington Capital Properties (BCP) currently manages more than 15 apartment communities throughout the Omaha metro area and is continually seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to join our growing team. This posting is intended to build a pool of qualified candidates for current and future openings at our Omaha-area properties.

BCP stands as a comprehensive property management firm, overseeing a diverse portfolio of more than 11,000 apartment homes across multifamily, student, employer-assisted, military, and condominium housing throughout the United States. We are committed to providing exceptional communities while investing in our employees and their success.

Typical Schedule

  • Monday through Friday
  • Typical hours are between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM (may vary slightly by property)
  • Participation in an on-call rotation may be required. On-call expectations vary by property and will be discussed during the interview process.

What You'll Do

While responsibilities vary by community, Maintenance Technicians typically:

  • Complete apartment turns to prepare homes for new residents
  • Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, drywall, painting, flooring, and carpentry repairs
  • Complete preventative maintenance and service requests
  • Maintain building systems and common areas
  • Assist with grounds maintenance and property appearance
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls as assigned
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents

Qualifications

  • Previous apartment maintenance or related maintenance experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, and general repairs
  • HVAC certification and other industry certifications are beneficial (requirements vary by property)
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and supplies
  • Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
  • Valid driver's license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) are required.
  • Ability to maintain and provide a basic set of hand tools customarily used to perform apartment maintenance duties.
