Job description

The Panther Group is seeking a Project Engineer to support a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer in the Greater Boston area. This is an exciting opportunity to work on advanced defense programs while collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams in a highly technical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate, plan, organize, and track engineering projects from initiation through completion.
  • Serve as the Control Account Manager (CAM) for Advanced Programs.
  • Maintain and update the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), ensuring alignment with program milestones and resource plans.
  • Act as the primary liaison for material procurement, overseeing requisitions, receipt verification, and kitting activities.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and communicate status updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to improve project execution, efficiency, and documentation quality.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and program management teams.
  • Support Advanced Test Equipment (ATE) programs and engineering initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 3 years of Project Management experience.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance required at the start of employment.
  • Experience building strong relationships across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience serving as a Control Account Manager (CAM).
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
  • Experience supporting engineering or manufacturing programs within the defense or aerospace industry.
  • SAP experience.
  • Familiarity with DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement).
Work Environment
  • Full-time, onsite position.
  • Primary work location is Andover, MA, with occasional work in Chelmsford, MA.
  • 4/10 first shift schedule.
