What is a capital procurement manager?

Capital Procurement Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing the acquisition of major assets and equipment for an organization, such as machinery, buildings, or infrastructure. They manage the entire procurement process, from identifying needs and selecting suppliers to negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with budgets and regulations. Their role is crucial in optimizing costs, maintaining timelines, and ensuring that purchased assets meet organizational goals and standards.

What are some common challenges faced by capital procurement managers when working on large-scale projects?

Capital Procurement Managers often encounter challenges such as coordinating with multiple stakeholders across engineering, finance, and operations to ensure timely delivery of equipment and services.
