Summary of Responsibility:

Morris Group, a leading distributor of high-end CNC machine tools and manufacturing solutions, is seeking a driven Capital Sales Engineer to join our team.

This role is ideal for a competitive, self-motivated professional who thrives on winning new business while also developing long-term customer relationships. You will represent premium CNC equipment and deliver value-driven solutions to manufacturers across a wide range of industries.

  • Identify, pursue, and close new capital equipment opportunities within assigned territory

  • Develop and grow relationships with existing customers (“farmer” mentality) while aggressively targeting new business (“hunter” mentality)

  • Evaluate customer applications and recommend optimal CNC machining solutions

  • Collaborate with internal Applications Engineering team for:

    • Time studies

    • Turnkey project development

    • Process validation and machine selection

  • Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting through proposal, negotiation, and closing

  • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and CRM activity

  • Network and Stay current on industry trends, machining technologies, and competitive offerings

Other Functions:

  • Perform related duties as required.

Qualifications & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field (preferred)

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, machining, or capital equipment sales

  • Strong technical aptitude with CNC machining processes (milling, turning, automation a plus)

  • Proven ability to win new business and exceed sales targets

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Self-starter with a high level of accountability and urgency
