Job description

We are looking for a Combo Capillary/ESP Spooling Technician at PCS Ferguson located in Odessa, TX. This is your opportunity to join a global technology company, driving energy innovation for a balanced planet.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for field equipment installations, troubleshooting and service of equipment.

  • Uses pneumatic and manual hand tools, bands cable/capillary as it is being installed into the well hole.

  • Responsible for the installation of downhole gauge and wireless commutations

  • Demonstrated ability to band or clamp capillary and TEC cable with a Forum banding tool

  • Develop strong relationships with key customers through frequent and professional communication

  • Know and enforce compliance with all safety policies and procedures

  • Completes DOT paperwork as required to include documentation and maintenance of DOT driving log.

  • Maintain truck and trailer per Company standards

Pre-Employment Requirements:

  • Motor vehicle record check

  • Drug and alcohol test

  • Criminal background check

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of relevant field service work experience; preferred in oil & gas.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude, and problem-solving skills

  • Good communication skills, ability to read and write English

  • Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle

  • Valid Class A driver's license in state of residence required

  • Must have a valid DOT Medical Certification Card

  • Immigration Sponsorship not available for this position

  • Must be available to work overtime and rotational on call duty

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs regularly.

  • Role is deemed safety sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

  • The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.

  • The employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to pick, feel and/or inspect material. Employee would also reach with hands and arms.

  • Employee is required to occasionally walk in customer field locations which may include inclines, uneven surfaces, and a variety of weather conditions.

  • Employee must be able to regularly bend, stoop, crawl, lay down, twist and push.

  • Employee is required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment including but not limited to shoes/boots, hard hats, or respirators.
