Cuvée Bistro at The Chatham Inn is evolving into a relaxed, approachable coastal bistro with Mediterranean and French influences. Hiring Bonus Available: $500 paid out in three (3) installments - $250 at 30 days of employment; $150 at 60 days of employment; and $150 at 90 days of employment. Please note: This hiring bonus is subject to all withholdings and deductions as required by law.

A day in the life...
The Restaurant Supervisor at Cuvée Bistro plays a critical role in delivering a refined, approachable coastal dining experience aligned with Relais & Châteaux and Forbes service standards. This is a hands-on, floor-based leadership position responsible for ensuring seamless daily operations, exceptional guest experiences, and strong team execution.
This role requires an individual who leads by example, maintains a strong presence on the floor, and supports both front- and back-of-house teams in delivering consistent, high-level hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
Guest Experience & Service Execution
  • Lead daily service with a constant presence on the floor
  • Ensure all guests are greeted, engaged, and recognized in a timely and professional manner
  • Monitor pacing, table maintenance, and overall service flow
  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally

Team Leadership & Development
  • Supervise, coach, and support servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff
  • Reinforce service standards, appearance, and professionalism
  • Assist with onboarding and ongoing training of team members
  • Hold team members accountable for attendance, punctuality, and performance

Operational Execution
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and coverage throughout service
  • Coordinate with the kitchen to maintain communication and execution standards
  • Support POS (Toast) operations, including troubleshooting and accuracy

Financial & Performance Awareness
  • Support initiatives to drive revenue, including wine and beverage sales
  • Monitor check averages and encourage upselling through proper service techniques
  • Maintain awareness of labor productivity and efficiency

Standards & Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to Noble House, Forbes, and Relais & Châteaux service standards
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety across all areas
  • Support compliance with Massachusetts labor laws and company policies

Requirements
You own this if you have...
  • 2-4 years of experience in a restaurant leadership or supervisory role
  • Experience in upscale, boutique hotel or fine dining environments preferred
  • Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to remain calm and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
