Patient Services Representative
Cape Cod Orthopaedics
Location: Sandwich, MA
Full Time/Non-Exempt
Join Our Team
Cape Cod Orthopaedics is seeking a compassionate, professional, and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our growing team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting our providers and clinical staff in delivering exceptional orthopedic care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients and visitors with professionalism and compassion.
  • Register new patients and update demographic and insurance information accurately.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls while addressing patient questions and concerns.
  • Collect co-pays, balances, and process payments in accordance with office policies.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure patient information is up to date.
  • Coordinate with physicians, medical assistants, and other team members to support efficient patient flow.
  • Protect patient privacy and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a medical office, orthopedic practice, or healthcare customer service preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical scheduling software is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification is a plus.
