Job Description:

Ryan Companies is hiring an Associate Manager of Building Services in our Phoenix office. This role supports the Regional Directors of Real Estate Management and Building Services to ensure proper maintenance programs and best practices are performed in the areas of preventive maintenance service, service request response and equipment repairs. This position is responsible for ensuring all building systems and fixtures are operating in a safe and efficient manner. This individual will split their time between supporting the field teams with maintenance responsibilities and working closely with the Regional Director of Management to oversee all aspects of business operations.

  • Oversee and manage the success of the building services business
  • Pursue new business, manage financials, and supervise a team
  • Staff training and development
  • Interface with all departments providing operational expertise and support
  • Participate and support company initiatives such as strategic planning, training, and quality assurance programs
  • Estimating and presenting maintenance and service proposals to existing and potential customers
  • Manage and build relationships with prospective and existing customers
  • Oversite of CMMS for appropriate maintenance schedules, contract obligations, and service performance
  • Coordinate, prepare, and manage corporate budgeting for your assigned business unit(s)
  • Perform maintenance and service tasks to support the team and fluctuation in demands
  • Understanding, promoting, and execution of the Ryan Safety program and initiatives

To be successful in this role, you must have

  • Two or four year technical degree or equivalent in building operations, systems, and equipment.

  • 2+ years in a supervisor capacity and strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and basic accounting/financial knowledge to work within budget constraints.

  • 5+ years experience operating a commercial office building with mechanical aptitude, leadership experience, and an ability to display a concierge level of service when interacting with building occupants and clients.

  • Must have universal CFC certification; able to attain local licensing or certification as required.

  • Excellent working knowledge of all types of building systems and equipment.

  • Valid drivers' license, reliable, insured transportation and willingness to travel from building to building.

  • Must have an intermediate to advanced level of understanding with computer systems such as MS Word and Excel.

You will really stand out if you have:

  • Mechanical Contractor Licenses, Competency Cards, and / or other Trade Specific Certifications
  • SMA, SMT AND LEED certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Sales experience, training, and a proven track record of business development

Compensation:

The base salary may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
