Job description

This role will lead the launch and scale-up of a new manufacturing facility, driving operational readiness and establishing high-performing teams. The Precast Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, safety, quality control, workforce management, and delivery performance. This role ensures efficient manufacturing of precast concrete products while maintaining strict adherence to project specifications, schedules, and regulatory standards. The Plant Manager leads cross-functional teams, optimizes plant capacity and workflow, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, cost control, and operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • This role will lead the launch and scale-up of a new manufacturing facility, including building teams, establishing processes, and driving operational readiness from pre-production to full-scale operations.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across all phases of the manufacturing process to enhance operational efficiency, production flow, and overall plant performance.
  • Analyze production data, capacity trends, and key performance metrics to drive informed decision-making and develop actionable plans that improve throughput, cost efficiency, and schedule adherence.
  • Establish and lead cross-functional teams to address operational challenges, leveraging agile methodologies to drive solutions and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and execute workforce planning strategies, including succession planning and leadership development, to build a strong pipeline of future operational leaders aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement capital improvements, including automation and equipment upgrades, to increase plant capacity, improve quality, and maintain industry leadership in prefabricated building systems.
  • Foster strong collaboration across departments, including engineering, project management, and field operations, to ensure alignment on production priorities, schedules, and project deliverables.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning by encouraging creative problem-solving while maintaining focus on safety, quality, and production commitments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education:
  • An undergraduate degree (or equivalent), preferably with a specialization in business or engineering; MBA or other relevant Master's Degree preferred
  • 10+ years' experience in a manufacturing industry with demonstrable escalating scope of responsibility
  • Minimum of 5+ years of direct people leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Adequate working knowledge of Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Project
