Engineering Capability Leader- Intelligence & Insight
Location: San Antonio, Austin, Dallas/Fort Worth, or Houston (Hybrid)
Overview
We are seeking a senior technology leader to define and execute the enterprise strategy for Business Intelligence, Reporting, Analytics, and Data Warehouse capabilities. This role is responsible for evaluating the current analytics landscape, defining the future-state architecture, building modernization roadmaps, and leading transformation initiatives while maintaining delivery of current reporting solutions. This is a strategic position combining executive-level leadership, technology strategy, architecture, and delivery ownership.
Responsibilities
  • Define and execute enterprise analytics strategy.
  • Lead modernization of BI, reporting, and data warehouse platforms.
  • Develop multi-year transformation roadmaps.
  • Evaluate cloud technologies and analytics platforms.
  • Establish governance, standards, and reporting practices.
  • Lead teams responsible for analytics and reporting solutions.
  • Partner with executive stakeholders on future-state planning.
  • Balance operational delivery and transformation initiatives.
  • Drive automation, observability, reliability, and reporting efficiency improvements.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years of experience supporting or developing analytics, reporting, or intelligence solutions.
  • 4+ years in leadership positions managing engineering or analytics teams.
  • Proven experience leading Business Intelligence and Analytics organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and executing large-scale transformation and modernization initiatives.
  • Experience developing and executing cloud migration strategies for reporting and analytics platforms.
  • Proven ability to balance operational responsibilities with long-term strategic transformation efforts.
  • Data architecture and reporting platform expertise, including experience with enterprise platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, or similar technologies.
  • Executive stakeholder management experience.
  • Experience implementing cloud technologies, APIs, DevOps practices, and modern software development methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success improving observability, reliability, and automation within analytics environments.
  • Experience with modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Financial services, banking, or other highly regulated industry experience.
  • Experience modernizing legacy reporting platforms or leading analytics platform migrations to cloud environments.
  • Experience implementing enterprise reporting governance, report catalogs, or analytics certification processes.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted analytics or conversational analytics capabilities.
