As an Engineering Capability Leader - Intelligence & Insights at Frost, you are subject matter expert, bringing together various technical areas to assist in the creation of new systems. Our Engineering Capability Leaders believe in collaboration, ingenuity, and truly want to lead design and change in the IT realm. You believe in servant leadership and will work with development teams to thoughtfully create and deliver top-quality systems throughout the organization.

What you’ll do:
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Software and Analytics Engineers, ensuring the organization has the capabilities, standards, and resources needed to deliver scalable enterprise reporting and insight solutions
  • Develop and implement strategies for leveraging data analytics to improve business performance, including adoption of cloud-enabled analytics platforms and improved automation in reporting pipelines
  • Collaborate with other business leaders to estimate level-of-effort, identify opportunities for process improvement, and optimize reporting and analytics capabilities
  • Manage the development lifecycle of analytics and intelligence systems, including reporting, dashboards, and insights, ensuring alignment with the needs of the organization
  • Lead the recruitment and development of talent within the engineering and data analytics teams, ensuring that the team is capable of delivering on the organization’s goals
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, promoting best practices for data visualization, insight delivery, and responsible use of analytics across the organization
  • Establish and evolve the architecture supporting intelligence and reporting platforms to ensure scalability, reliability, and consistent user experience across the organization
  • Review existing reporting platforms, implementations, and delivery processes to identify opportunities to simplify architecture, improve resiliency, and accelerate delivery of new insights
  • Define architecture and governance practices for dashboards, reports, and analytics assets including metric definitions, visualization standards, refresh schedules, and security controls
  • Always take action using integrity, caring, and excellence to achieve all-win outcomes
What you’ll need:
  • Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience developing analytics and intelligence solutions, with at least 4 years in a leadership role
  • Demonstrated experience working with enterprise reporting and analytics platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Cognos, or similar tools
  • Experience using and implementing cloud technologies, APIs, DevOps practices, modern design, and development methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to improve observability, automation, and reliability of analytics platforms
  • Deep understanding of data modeling, analytics architecture, and reporting platform design
  • Strong understanding of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures associated with software engineering and analytics platform development
  • Proven knowledge of emerging data analytics tools and technologies and development frameworks to improve data visualization
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams
  • Ability to identify system challenges and designing scalable solutions for complex enterprise analytics environments
  • Demonstrated experience with modern programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar technologies
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Additional Preferred Skills:
  • Experience modernizing legacy reporting platforms or leading analytics platform migrations to cloud environments
  • Experience implementing enterprise report catalogs, analytics governance practices, or insight certification processes
  • Exposure to AI-assisted analytics or conversational analytics capabilities
