About This Role:

This role will support the new SK AI initiative (SK Group level) established to identify and create new business opportunities in the rapidly evolving AI data center market. SK AI seeks to leverage the broad range of capabilities and products, and the collective scale of SK Group portfolio companies to address the top critical challenges in AI infrastructure.

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven candidate for our AI Infrastructure Solutions team. As a vital member of the team, this individual will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the future direction of SK AI's data center strategy and new business creation efforts. In this challenging and highly visible role, this individual will support strategic decision-making by leading projects related to market analysis, emerging technology trends, and the identification of business opportunities as it relates to the pursuit of establishing new and strengthening existing business endeavors. This role requires extensive experience in the technology/AI/semiconductor industry, along with strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills to work with multiple internal stakeholders on highly visible and time-sensitive projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Market Intelligence and Analysis: Drive the collection and synthesis of market intelligence to provide strategic insights into AI data center trends, technology shifts, and competitive dynamics. Lead detailed strategic assessments to identify and capitalize on new growth opportunities.
  • Opportunity Identification: Research and identify innovative technologies and partners within the AI data center ecosystem. Define and shape long-term business plans for the SK AI initiative, leveraging the collective scale of SK Group companies and external partners to address future data center needs.
  • Internal Alignment and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strategy alignment and smooth execution. Deliver market assessments and strategic recommendations to senior leadership for discussion and endorsement.

Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics).
  • 10-15 years of progressive business experience in the technology, AI, or semiconductor sectors, with a focus on business development, corporate strategy, corporate development, management consulting, or investment banking - or closely related disciplines.
  • Experience developing strategies and structuring messaging to influence leadership decisions at the organizational level.
  • Experience working with senior executives and cross-functionally with different teams and functions.
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, start-up like environment where an entrepreneurial mindset, persistent execution, and ability to form relationships will drive your success.
  • Effective communication (written & verbal) and influencing skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or advanced technical degree.
  • Working experience in an industry related to the data center ecosystem, with general knowledge of the data center industry (both business & technical perspectives) and AI data center value chain.
  • Experience with new business creation and technology commercialization.
  • In-depth knowledge of the AI data center ecosystem, including hardware, software, and emerging market and technology trends.
  • Experience analyzing, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
