Job description

We are looking for a Data & AI Project Manager (m/f/d) to join our team in Ulm.

In this role, you coordinate cross-functional and operational activities of the LDC Data & AI organization while supporting the execution of strategic group-wide AI initiatives. You drive portfolio transparency, coordinate LDC demand intake and roadmap activities, and ensure effective collaboration between stakeholders for successful delivery. Working closely with the Data & AI Manager, the AI Tech Lead, and AI Tech Consultants, you enable the successful translation of business and technical needs into AI solutions and reusable AI capabilities that create value across the Liebherr Group.

Your responsibilities
  • Coordinate LDC AI demand intake, roadmap planning, portfolio transparency, and operational reporting for the LDC Data & AI portfolio
  • Manage selected AI initiatives and cross-functional projects
  • Drive the LDC contribution to AI initiatives across the Liebherr Group, including AI capability development, technology evaluation, technical consulting, and the delivery of AI solutions
  • Align and resolve dependencies across projects, roadmaps, and stakeholders to enable efficient and scalable delivery & understand business needs, technical requirements, and cross-divisional synergies to support the identification and shaping of future AI developments
  • Drive transparency regarding ongoing initiatives, capabilities, and lessons learned across the Data & AI organization
  • Translate business and technical requirements into actionable delivery together with AI Tech Consultants, engineering, business stakeholders, and Corporate IT
  • Coordinate fragmented AI demands and ensure effective allocation of LDC capabilities across initiatives & support the preparation and coordination of strategic topics such as AI governance, reference architectures, and group-wide AI foundations
  • Continuously improve AI delivery processes, portfolio governance, and the LDC Data & AI operating model
Your qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Systems, or a comparable field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in AI, digital transformation, software engineering, or technical project and program management
  • Solid understanding of AI technologies, software engineering, and digital products 
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives involving business and technical stakeholders in interdisciplinary environments
  • Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills & strategic mindset with the ability to drive AI opportunities and cross-functional synergies
  • Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style
  • Experience in project or program management is considered a plus
  • Fluent in English and German
