Key responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of SDRs to achieve prospecting, booking meetings, and pipeline goals.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, GTM Operations, and Enablement to run campaigns and optimize outreach efforts.

Job description

Profound is the marketing platform for the age of AI search. The way brands reach people is being rewritten — AI models like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Mode are now the answer layer between companies and their customers. We built the platform marketers use to understand, measure, and win in that world: the analytics, intelligence, and agent automation that turn AI search from a threat into a competitive advantage.

We went from 0 to a $1B valuation in 18 months. Revenue grew 100x last year. Our customers include 15% of the Fortune 500 like Walmart, Wayfair and U.S. Bank, and innovators like Ramp, MongoDB, and Figma. We are backed by Sequoia, Kleiner Perkins, LSVP, and Khosla Ventures — and we are moving fast enough that the people joining now are building the playbook everyone who comes after them will run.

As a Sales Development Manager you will lead and develop our team of SDRs, a group of the best talent, coaching and motivating them to drive prospecting, book meetings, and exceed pipeline goals, ultimately becoming the best salespeople in the region.

What you'll do
  • Scale and manage a high-performing team of SDRs who consistently overachieve on aggressive goals and will become the future of Profound's sales organization

  • Own and drive execution of Profound's new business pipeline goals by understanding and analyzing top of the funnel metrics, pipeline quality, and influenced revenue

  • Attract, hire, develop, and retain world-class SDR talent, driving onboarding and enablement that accelerates time to productivity and team effectiveness

  • Shape deep partnerships with Marketing, Sales, GTM Operations, and Enablement to collaborate on campaigns and field events, hit stretch pipeline goals, and optimize the business for efficiency

  • Orchestrate outbound campaigns by identifying opportunities and enabling the team to execute on personalized, structured, high-volume outreach that secures meetings while maintaining quality

  • Lead through inspiration, service leadership, and a results-driven approach, embodying Profound's core values: fractal speed, eagerness, clear communication, and obsessive craftsmanship

Who you are
  • A leader with 2-5 years of experience building and leading high-performing pipeline-generation, outbound sales, or business development teams at a fast-growing technology company

  • Excited by attracting, recruiting, developing, and retaining world-class talent early in their sales and management careers

  • Highly coachable and eager to coach others, fostering a culture of continuous learning

  • Strategic enough to build a team, but tactical enough to execute on a day-to-day basis

  • Intelligent and self-motivated with a deep sense of ownership, accountability, pride, and passion for your work

  • Known as someone who is collaborative, innovative and reliable cross-functionally

  • Fluent with AI as a high-trust collaborator that is core to how you solve problems, moving with an experimental mindset, rapidly testing emerging capabilities to discover simpler, more powerful ways to deliver results

  • A data-driven, analytical thinker who leads through influence and pairs structured problem-solving with a deep understanding of revenue models and sales development
