Design Engineer (Aero Engines Externals)
Location: Phoenix, AZ- Onsite work only – Fulltime –
Visa: any visa is fine.

 PS:

  • Need profiles with experience on design and drafting of aero engine components, design of aero engine externals like tube routings, brackets, mounts, ducts etc  
  • Also make sure there is at least 6+ years of experience in these within in the last 10 years.

Job Description:

  • Conceptual and detailed design of aero engine externals components using conventional hand calculations.
  • Perform stack-up analysis & design hand calculations.
  • Follow all required standard work to finalize design
  • Represent design team at various CCB reviews
  • Create and review drafting and CAD models of aero engine components.
  • Interact with customers as needed on task status from a technical standpoint.

Required Skills: 

  • Design Engineer (Aero Engines Externals)
  • Sound knowledge in mechanical design fundamentals, engineering concepts, and applications.
  • Design and drafting experience with aero engine projects or other aero engine manufacturers projects.
  • Rich experience working on aero engine external parts
  • Proficient in drafting and modeling using CAD tools for external module components such (e.g., bracket & tube designs)
  • Proficient in using CAD tools (e.g., Siemens NX , CATIA V5, or Creo) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Enovia).
  • Ensure design compliance with aero engine requirements, tolerance stack-up analysis, GD&T, and adherence to aerospace drafting standards
  • Capability to understand and interpret structural analysis results.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Sound understanding of the build and functionality of aero engine and sub-modules.
  • Experience interacting with customers to solve critical problems.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An excellent team player.
