Summary:
Participates in the classroom teaching team, planning and conducting the daily program for children three through five years old who are enrolled in the Family Life Child Development Center. Safely transport children in a van to and from the center. Ride on the bus as a monitor.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Plans and conducts the daily program for three-five year old children in the classroom enhancing the child's growth potential in all areas. 45%

  • Assists, guides, and supports families of enrolled children. 30%

  • Safely transport children and families in a van to or from the center as needed. Keeps vehicles clean, safe, and in presentable condition. 25%

Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent General Studies Required
Years of Experience:
1 or more years of successful experience in related field or combination of education and experience
Extensive related experience may substitute for education requirements and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Certifications and Licensure:
Possess a Valid Kentucky Driver's License and Maintain a Safe Driving Record Required
CAP Driving Certification* (or ability to obtain within first 90 days) Required
CPR and First Aid (or ability to obtain) Required
Non-Contagious TB Test Result Required
*In order to drive personal vehicle on CAP business, must obtain and maintain a policy of motor vehicle insurance coverage on privately-owned vehicle with insurance coverage amounts of $50,000 bodily injury per person per accident; $100,000 bodily injury for all bodily injuries per accident; and $50,000 property damage per accident.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, stand, walk
Lift 50 lb from floor and carry 40 ft and place on shelf at 36 inches
Lift 18 lb from floor to shelf at 102 inch, using a step ladder if needed
Push with 45 lb of force for 5 ft
Lifts/moves items with unknown weight or that are awkward shapes and sizes with assistance
Walk up steep incline
Have good visual acuity with corrective lenses
