Job description

  • This position is for participants in the VUJC CAP Program. You must be enrolled in the program to apply.
  • Perform routine trouble shooting amd repair on equipment and support systems as required
  • Rearrange work areas throughout plant per drawings approved by management or plant engineers
  • Fabricate fixtures, jigs, and carts per drawings approved by management or plant engineers.
  • Request the purchase of all needed supplies and parts.
  • Inspect parts for compliance to quality standards and to material specifications.
  • Document necessary information.
  • Keep work place and equipment clean and well organized.
  • Perform proper preventive maintenance on all plant support systems and equipment.
  • Responsible for actively participating in the maintenance and execution of National Office Furniture Emergency Action Plan.
  • Identify and measure local performance measurements in support of our Business Plan
  • Assure the set up meets or exceeds all safety requirements.
  • and well organized.
  • Follow and understand all safety procedures guidelines and uses required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Identify nonconformities and follow nonconforming product procedures and be aware of disposition authority.
  • Implement process improvements.
  • Support the Vision and Guiding Principles and other policies of Kimball International and National Office Furniture.
  • Follow and support the Quality system.
  • Performs job rotation as directed.
  • Support our Environmental Management System (EMS).
