Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable Machine Operator to join a growing manufacturing team in Indianapolis, IN. This hands-on position combines machine operation, product assembly, quality inspection, and equipment setup in a fast-paced production environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating manufacturing equipment, performing quality checks, maintaining production records, and working safely while producing precision components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate, set up, and make minor machine adjustments while producing components according to production specifications.
  • Assemble, combine, cap, inspect, and test manufactured parts to ensure proper fit, function, and quality.
  • Perform quality inspections using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and comparators while documenting inspection results.
  • Verify materials, maintain accurate production records, and ensure work meets quality standards and production requirements.
  • Perform minor troubleshooting, basic preventative maintenance, and safely operate multiple machines when required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following OSHA regulations, PPE requirements, and company policies.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operation experience, including machine setup, tool changes, and operating production equipment.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers, to perform basic quality checks and verify product specifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and apply basic shop math in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately document production information and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive hand movements, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
