Job description

Position Summary
Our client, a precision aerospace and defense manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to support high-tolerance machining operations. This individual will be responsible for first article, in-process, and final inspections and must be comfortable
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform first article inspections (FAI) and complete all required documentation
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections on machined components
  • Perform layout inspections using surface plate setups
  • Inspect parts using micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, thread gauges, and other precision tools
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T requirements
  • Ensure parts meet tight tolerance and customer specifications
  • Maintain inspection records and support quality documentation
  • Assist with calibration processes and gage control
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the quality function
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures including PPE requirements to perform the job safely
Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years of quality inspection experience (aerospace preferred)
  • Strong GD&T and blueprint reading skills required
  • Surface plate experience required (layout and setup work)
  • Experience with first article, in-process, and final inspection required
  • Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and bore gauges
  • Experience with thread inspection (beyond basic Go/No-Go)
  • Familiarity with Gage R&R studies is a plus
  • CMM experience is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
Employment Type & Compensation
  • This is a Full-Time | Direct Hire position
  • Pay rate is $25.00 - $35.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Application Window: Open until closed
Work Schedule
  • 1st Shift | Monday-Friday 6:00am-4:30pm | Friday 6:00am-3:30pm.
