Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
About the Role
BESTAFF is hiring a Parts Prep associate for a growing machine shop in Indianapolis that rebuilds transmissions for heavy equipment. No experience needed — just a mechanical mindset and a willingness to learn. If you like working on your own car, fixing up a lawnmower, or doing your own oil changes, you already have what it takes to succeed here. This is an entry-level opportunity with a clear path to grow: start at $20/hr and increase your pay as you take on new roles and responsibilities.
What You'll Do
  • Prep and inspect transmission parts for heavy equipment rebuilds
  • Operate a forklift and material lifting equipment safely (training available)
  • Use basic math and US/metric measurement skills to check part specs
  • Lift and maneuver materials up to 50 lbs as needed
  • Communicate positively and effectively with your team
  • Learn to maintain the equipment and machines you operate
  • Keep your workspace clean, organized, and free of hazards
