Job description

The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) serves as a senior executive responsible for the oversight, coordination, and strategic management of the organization's administrative and operational infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the CAO ensures that all operational support functions of the organization-including facilities, security, transportation, land management, agriculture, environmental compliance, safety, risk management, and property development-operate effectively in support of the mission of Cal Farley's Boys Ranch.

Executive Leadership and Operational Oversight

  • Serve as a member of the organization's senior executive leadership team and advise the CEO on operational strategy, infrastructure planning, and resource management.
  • Provide executive oversight for all administrative and operational support services across the organization.
  • Ensure that operational functions effectively support the mission, programs, and long-term strategic objectives of Boys Ranch.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems that support efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate long-term planning for facilities, infrastructure, and operational capacity to support program growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in business administration, facilities management, organizational leadership, public administration, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of executive or senior leadership experience in operations, administration, facilities management, or organizational infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple operational disciplines across large or complex organizations.
