Canva's global Commercial Legal team of ten, is seeking a Contracts Manager to join its team. The Contracts Manager will be responsible for preparing, negotiating, and managing contracts in support of Canva's Enterprise sales, Canva for Education, and Procurement teams.

What you'll do:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate agreements with customers and vendors ensuring the terms comply with Canva policies, legal requirements, and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather necessary information to address any concerns related to contract terms and deliver timely, practical advice that is calibrated to risk, deal structure, and internal policy.
  • Maintain a database of contracts including key terms and obligations
  • Continuously provide feedback to the team on potential improvements to templates and processes to increase efficacy and efficiency, identifying and helping develop improvements to contracting processes, workflows, and enablement tools with a scalable, future-focused mindset.
  • Provide training sessions for the legal team and stakeholders on the tools utilized during the contracting process, designing and delivering enablement to equip cross-functional stakeholders to move faster and more independently on routine commercial matters.
  • Ensure the maintenance and continual enhancement of AI tools throughout the contracting workflow.

You're probably a match if:

  • You have extensive experience negotiating SaaS agreements at a high-volume in support of a sales team and experience reviewing vendor agreements
  • You have experience using Ironclad, Salesforce, and AI tools for contract review and management
  • Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree
  • You are excited to roll up your sleeves, learn the business and proactively identify and analyze opportunities and risks.
  • You are solutions focused, risk aware, and not risk averse.
  • You are a collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and a collegial attitude.
  • You are comfortable negotiating live with customers and vendors.
  • You are able to prioritize and effectively set and balance expectations. You have the pragmatism and agility required to meet the needs of the business each day.
