Job Summary
Watts Tree Experts is seeking a skilled and safety driven Tree Climber to support our growing team. This role is responsible for performing pruning, trimming, and removal services using industry standard techniques and equipment. You'll work closely with our ground crew to ensure safe and efficient operations while helping the company continue its growth.

Responsibilities
  • Climb trees to preform pruning, trimming, and removals using industry standards techniques
  • Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader
  • Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients
  • Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more
Including but not limited to:
  • Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
  • Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
  • Removal of hazardous trees
Qualifications
  • 1+ years of professional tree climbing experience required
  • Proficient in rope and saddle climbing techniques (SRT/DRT)
  • Experience with technical rigging and safe tree removals
  • Knowledge in proper pruning standards
  • Strong understanding of industry safety standards
  • Valid drivers license required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Skilled in operating chainsaws, chippers, and heavy equipment
  • Must be comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
