Job Description:
Licensed Journeymen Electrician needed for various commercial and industrial projects. Duties will include performing a wide range of electrical work with a strong focus on petroleum and industrial environments. Must hold a license from either Iowa or from states that reciprocate with IA (AR, CO, MN, MT, NE, ND, OK, SD, WI) and will be eligible to work while reciprocating license. Core duties include pulling wire for new circuits, pumps, dispensers, lighting, and control systems; completing pump and dispense swaps; bending and installing conduit/pipe; and installing or terminating panels, junction boxes, breakers, and disconnects. Journeyman will also handle grounding and bonding per NEC and petroleum standards, run and label POS and communication circuits, connect sump sensors and leak detection systems, install canopy and area lighting, maintain emergency shutoff systems and troubleshoot dispenser communication or pump activation issues. Petroleum and fueling systems are the primary focus, journeyman may also occasionally perform residential and commercial electrical work such as replacing or installing light fixtures, switches, receptacles, ceiling fans, running new circuits, upgrading panels and subpanels, installing low-voltage systems, and troubleshooting electrical issues. This position requires travel to project sites within eastern Iowa and neighboring states. Per Diem will be paid to workers when they travel and/or stay overnight. You may be eligible for medical and dental insurance after 60 days of employment and 1 week paid time off effective day 1.
