Kimchi information

What is a kimchi maker?

Kimchi makers are individuals or professionals who specialize in preparing and fermenting kimchi, a traditional Korean side dish made from vegetables, most commonly napa cabbage and radishes, with a variety of seasonings. They may work in households, restaurants, or food production facilities. The process involves salting the vegetables, mixing them with spices and seasonings, and allowing them to ferment for a specific period. Kimchi makers must have knowledge of proper fermentation techniques and food safety to ensure quality and taste. Their expertise helps preserve Korean culinary traditions and promote healthy eating.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a kimchi maker?

To thrive as a Kimchi Maker, you need knowledge of traditional fermentation techniques, food safety standards, and culinary skills, often supported by experience in food preparation or culinary arts education. Familiarity with kitchen equipment, fermentation vessels, and food hygiene certifications are typically required. Attention to detail, creativity, and strong organizational skills help ensure consistent quality and innovative flavors. These competencies are vital for producing safe, high-quality kimchi that meets consumer expectations and regulatory standards.

What are some common challenges faced by kimchi production workers and how can they be managed?

Kimchi production workers often encounter challenges such as maintaining consistent product quality, working in environments with strong odors, and handling repetitive tasks that can be physically demanding. Adhering to strict hygiene and safety protocols is essential to prevent contamination and ensure workplace safety. Many companies provide training on proper handling techniques and rotating tasks to minimize fatigue and support a positive work environment. Teamwork and clear communication also play a key role in managing production schedules and meeting quality standards.

Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Kimchi Sales Engineer based in Netherlands.

This is a high-impact technical sales role focused on bringing an enterprise AI coding platform to engineering organizations across EMEA.
You will lead technical evaluations and proofs of concept that demonstrate measurable value in real customer environments.
The role combines AI coding agents, LLM infrastructure, developer tooling, cloud platforms, and enterprise architecture.
You will work directly with CTOs, VPs of Engineering, platform leaders, and senior developers.
Your work will influence regional revenue, enterprise adoption, product-market fit, and customer outcomes.
As a founding member of the regional Go-to-Market organization, you will operate with significant ownership in a fast-moving environment.
The position is ideal for a technically credible, customer-focused engineer who can translate complex technology into compelling business outcomes.

Accountabilities
  • Own technical wins: Lead fast, well-scoped proofs of concept from initial architecture discussions through successful technical evaluations, including installing the coding harness, configuring inference gateways, migrating existing agent workflows, and demonstrating value against customer repositories and agreed success criteria.
  • Lead technical conversations: Engage confidently with staff engineers, platform leaders, and technical decision-makers on model routing, context management, coding agents, inference architecture, and developer workflows.
  • Build rigorous evaluations: Design and execute comparisons against incumbent coding tools, measuring factors such as accuracy, inference cost, latency, and developer experience while translating technical findings into outcomes that resonate with executive buyers.
  • Manage enterprise technical gates: Lead security, data residency, deployment, and network architecture reviews, bringing in product and engineering specialists when deeper technical expertise is required.
  • Troubleshoot in real time: Diagnose and resolve integration, configuration, authentication, IDE, and workflow issues during customer engagements and POCs, often under tight deadlines.
  • Feed customer insights into product: Capture recurring technical challenges, customer feedback, and product opportunities from live evaluations and communicate them to internal teams to support rapid product improvements.
  • Enable the wider sales organization: Help Account Executives and other Sales Engineers identify, qualify, and advance opportunities, while representing the product at conferences, technical events, and meetups across EMEA.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Field Engineer, or similar technical customer-facing role within developer tools, AI/ML infrastructure, cloud platforms, or related technology environments.
  • Hands-on experience with AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Copilot, or comparable tools, with the ability to clearly explain their practical differences and trade-offs.
  • Working knowledge of LLM serving and integration, including OpenAI-compatible APIs, inference gateways and routers, context windows, tool calling, MCP, and token economics.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills, with confidence working in terminals and customer codebases, writing scripts, and debugging configuration or integration issues live with customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to convert technical evaluations into signed business, including experience navigating enterprise security, architecture, and technical review processes.
  • Experience benchmarking AI models or agents across dimensions such as accuracy, cost, latency, or developer experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes or cloud infrastructure is desirable, particularly for organizations with broader infrastructure and platform requirements.
  • A public technical profile through conference talks, technical writing, open-source contributions, or similar activities is advantageous.
  • Additional European language skills are a plus.
  • Based in EMEA with the legal right to work in the country of residence and willingness to travel across the region.
  • Strong communication, presentation, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to operate effectively with both highly technical audiences and senior business decision-makers.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary based on experience and level.
  • Flexible, remote-first working environment within a global team.
  • Equity options.
  • Opportunity to collaborate with cloud and AI infrastructure specialists on a rapidly evolving technology platform.
  • Fast-paced workflow with short feature-development cycles, often completed within 1-4 weeks.
  • Dedicated time for personal projects and professional self-improvement, with approximately 10% of working time available for these activities.
  • Learning and development budget, including access to international conferences and professional courses.
  • Annual hackathon focused on innovation, experimentation, and team collaboration.
  • Team-building budget and company events.
  • Equipment budget to support an effective remote working setup.
  • Additional days off designed to support work-life balance.
  • Opportunity to play a foundational role in establishing and scaling a new regional Go-to-Market organization.
  • Exposure to enterprise AI, coding agents, LLM infrastructure, developer platforms, and complex technical buying environments.
