As a full-service manufacturer of candles, wax melts, and home fragrance accessories, we always strive to improve our customers’ experience with our dynamic range of reliable products.
Position Overview
The Production Supervisor leads a fast-paced manufacturing department to support the company’s strategic vision and direction. The Production Supervisor will drive safety, quality, and productivity across all manufacturing processes, ensuring teams are held accountable while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Hours are 7:00am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday.
Essential Job Functions (include, but not limited to):
  1. Lead shift production, ensuring the right people are in the right places to drive safety, quality, and production goals.
  2. Assess equipment and personnel to drive continuous improvement and results, managing line efficiencies, key performance indicators, and production downtime.
  3. Inspect, check in, and check out raw materials at the start and completion of a work order to ensure correct materials are being used and inventory levels are accurate.
  4. Perform first-pass quality checks after shift changeovers to prevent non-conforming products.
  5. Conduct quality checks on materials, processes, and final products.
  6. Ensure production goals are met according to the daily and weekly schedules.
  7. Make corrections to tracking systems, including but not limited to pallet tracking, tracking deletions, and reprints.
  8. Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards and customer requirements
  9. Hire, train, coach, and review performance of employees.
  10. Maintain effective working relationships with employees through open communication, visibility, and involvement to promote a positive working environment that maximizes safety, quality, employee engagement, productivity, and throughput.
  11. Monitor and review employees time and attendance for accuracy.
  12. Responsible for employee coaching and development, employment decisions, and conflict resolution.
  13. Partner with Human Resources and Production Manager on recruitment, corrective actions, and terminations.
  14. Work closely with the Maintenance Department to address and minimize production line downtime.
  15. Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Distribution to ensure the timely availability of all required production materials.
  16. Prepare and communicate employee mid-year and annual performance reviews, as well as probationary reviews at 30-, 60-, and 90-day intervals.
  17. Perform other duties assigned.
Requirements – Education, Skills and Experiences
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field preferred.
  3. 1-3 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution center environment.
  4. Strong ability to prioritize workflow, organize materials, and perform effectively without direct supervision while adhering to established deadlines.
  5. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  6. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  7. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with a professional attitude.
  8. Experience with Timekeeping systems. Experience with Paycor is a plus.
  9. Must be able to demonstrate a good mathematical aptitude in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and metric system.
  10. Ability to work off-shift hours as needed.
  11. Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  12. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Previous experience using electronic databases and online tools is required.
  13. Adaptable and responsive to changing business conditions, demonstrating flexibility and openness to change.
  14. Proven ability to work safely in a production environment.
REQUIREMENTS – Physical amp; Environmental
  1. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  2. Low sensitivity to a highly fragranced work environment.
  3. Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs. frequently and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  4. Position will require you to bend, sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, reach above shoulders, utilize fine finger movements, handle objects requiring manual dexterity. May be required to stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time.
  5. Position requires you to be around moving machinery.
  6. Position will include exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity.
