Job Summary and Qualifications

The role of the Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery is to provide care to the perinatal patient under the direction of the Charge Nurse, the Manager, and the Director of the Family Birthing Center. The Registered Nurse provides direct patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures of Menorah Medical Center and professional organizations and in support of the mission of Menorah Medical Center. Care is provided in a family centered environment. The Labor and Delivery nurse provides care for adolescents (12-17 years), adult women (18-64 years), and newborns. Ongoing education including Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring, STABLE, and other courses as required by Perinatal Safety Initiatives.

What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
