Join Our Team as a Maintenance Engineer!

Ready to be the hero of our hotel? As a Maintenance Engineer, youll be the go-to fixer, keeping everything running smoothly and making sure our guests and team enjoy a safe, comfortable environment. Youll get hands-on with everything from HVAC and plumbing to electrical and mechanical systemsthink of it as your backstage pass to the inner workings of the hotel! KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical & Preventive Maintenance Powerhouse: Take charge of daily inspections, repairs, and fine-tuning across our hotels plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and other systemscatching small issues before they become big ones. Perform preventive maintenance in guest rooms, common spaces, and on essential equipment (from refrigerators to ice machines), keeping everything running smoothly for an exceptional guest experience. Handle minor carpentry, painting, and furniture repairs to ensure our hotel remains both beautiful and fully operational.
  • Quick-Fix Hero: Jump into action to solve equipment hiccups, leaks, and those mysterious electrical issuesno problem too puzzling! Tackle emergencies like fire alarms and power outages with cool confidence, always putting guest safety front and center.
  • Safety Superpowers: Move objects over 50 lbs., scale ladders, and power through physically demanding tasks with strength and stamina. Follow OSHA safety guidelines when wielding tools, handling chemicals, and operating machinerysafety first, always! Keep work areas spotless and safe, with proper storage for tools and hazardous materials to protect everyone.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in hotel maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Trade license (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry) is highly desirable.
  • Valid driver's license required, with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

PROPERTY INFORMATION:
This hotel is located directly on Indianapolis's scenic Central Canal and a block away from Military Park. It offers self catering accommodations and an indoor pool area. The bright colored rooms at Residence Inn Indianapolis Downtown have a cozy seating area facing the flat-screen TV. Guests can prepare meals at the kitchen equipped with stove top and dishwasher. All the necessary silverware and serving dishes are available. Guests can enjoy the scenic views of the Central Canal from the hotels outdoor terrace. The Residence Inn Indianapolis Downtown on the Canal also offers dry cleaning/laundry services. A complimentary full breakfast is served at the lounge every morning.
