Job description

Job Overview:

  • We are seeking a skilled Sr Datacenter Technician to join our team for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have experience in data center operations and troubleshooting.

Requirement/Must Have:

  • 4-5 years of experience in data center operations.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and break-fix skills.
  • Understanding of core data center components.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform rack and stack of servers, network devices, and storage equipment.
  • Handle cabling (fiber and copper) including labeling and cable management.
  • Support installation, relocation, and decommissioning of hardware.
  • Troubleshoot a variety of servers and isolate the problems encountered.
  • Order replacement parts, install them in servers, and ship back defective parts to vendors.
  • Update firmware on servers to ensure the latest version is installed.
  • Configure IP addresses and default login credentials on servers.
  • Assist network administrators with server-related issues.
  • Temporarily rack and stack servers or switches in cabinets and cable them for remote access.
  • Provide specific assistance to network administrators as needed.
