Job description

Summary

The Manager—Media Sales, is responsible for driving advertising revenue across broadcast and streaming sports programming by executing day-to-day sales efforts, client relationships, and partnership development. This role manages key accounts and business development initiatives while collaborating across internal teams to deliver integrated media solutions spanning broadcast and streaming platforms. This role supports the execution of go-to-market strategies, identifies new revenue opportunities, and contributes to sales growth in a dynamic and competitive sports media and partnership environment. Through strong market knowledge and client engagement, this position helps achieve revenue objectives and strengthen the organization's market presence.

  • Support annual revenue targets for sports advertising inventory, including ingame commercial spots, pre/postgame coverage, streaming, and digital extensions.
  • Build and maintain highvalue relationships with regional and local advertisers, media agencies, and brand partners.
  • Identify emerging categories and new business opportunities aligned with sports audience demographics.
  • Partner with Programming, Production, and Marketing teams to align inventory, sponsorship opportunities, and creative integrations.
  • Work closely with Ad Operations to ensure flawless campaign execution and delivery.
  • Collaborate with Director – Partnership and Broadcast Solutions to translate audience data into compelling sales narratives.
  • Assist in research of industry trends, media consumption habits, and competitive sponsorship programs.
  • Develop innovative advertising solutions, including branded content, sponsorships, and digital/social extensions.
  • Manage accounts in CRM database to ensure accurate record of contacts, conversations and contracts.
  • Work with the Legal Department on the execution of all contracts and other documents associated with partnerships.
  • Coordinate the scheduling, trafficking, and fulfillment of all partnership-related broadcast, digital, streaming, and media inventory.
  • Maintain accurate media calendars and inventory schedules across television and streaming platforms.
  • Ensure all media assets sold are executed according to contractual obligations and established deadlines.
  • Collaborate with broadcast partners and internal stakeholders to communicate schedules, creative specifications, and campaign changes.
  • Monitor campaign delivery and make necessary adjustments to ensure fulfillment goals are achieved. Support inventory forecasting and availability reporting for the Media Sales team.
  • Compile proof-of-performance documentation and media partner recaps, tracking key campaign metrics and performance summaries for clients and sales staff.
  • Assist in valuation and measurement efforts related to partnership media assets. Grow revenue with current and new partners through the strategic utilization of team marketing assets inclusive of in-park signage, promotional assets, use of marks and logos, drive-to-retail promotion, media and other marketing vehicles.
  • Work with Partnership Activation for the strategic alignment of team marketing assets to provide partners with effective marketing solutions to enhance sales opportunities.
  • Oversee accurate fulfillment of sponsor benefits as appropriate to their respective agreements
  • Support fulfillment of sponsored media elements during game days and special events.
  • Assist with postseason, special events, and promotional campaign coordination.
  • Participate in department events, hospitality functions, and partner activations as assigned.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Media sales, with a preferred track record in sports advertising.
  • Proficiency in selling linear TV, streaming, digital, and emerging platforms.
  • Strong negotiation skills and comfort managing six and seven figure deals.
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and strategic planning abilities.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; and 3-5 years of progressive sales experience in sports media and partnerships.
