Camelot Kids Preschool and Toddler Teachers, 2 Full Time Positions Available - Silver Lake Campus - IMMEDIATE FILL

We are looking for qualified early childhood (ECE) Teachers. As a preschool teacher we are looking for someone with teamwork, a passion for working with children and qualifications needed to teach them effectively and include knowledge of best practices and preschool curriculum and educational methods as well as the ability to engage them and earn their trust and attention.
Responsibilities
- Develop a careful and creative program suitable for preschool children
- Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum (identify shapes, numbers or colors, do crafts etc.)
- Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
- Track children’s progress and report to parents
- Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche
- Collaborate with other educators
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
Skills
- Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as mediator between children
- Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen
- Certification in child CPR, Mandated Reporter and Sexual Harassment
- Child Development coursework required, 12 ECE Units*REQUIRED, working towards an Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Prior experience working in Child Care Centers and Infant / toddler in a class environment setting.
- As a teacher at Camelot Kids Preschool, you will help curious, young minds discover the joy of learning. Our curriculum engages both teacher and child in an exciting journey of discovery. This is a teacher position for our toddler class and  our preschool class, you'll partner with co-teachers here at Camelot to design fun and exciting educational experiences that recognize and foster each child's individual interests while nurturing the whole child--their social/emotional as well as cognitive development.
Job Requirements:
- Must meet CDSS state requirements for education and additional center/school requirements may apply. Up to date immunizations required, medical and religious exemptions as permitted by law.
- Fingerprinted/Live-Scan Background Check Required.
- Mandated Reporter and Sexual Harassment Certifications
- Strong knowledge of educational techniques and methods for teaching young children
- School is open 8am - 5:00pm, hourly schedule somewhere in that range.
