Electro Mechanical Technician

Location: Greensboro, NC

Position Type: Manufacturing. Production

Overview: 

Electro-Mechanical technician position requires a hands-on team player who will provide their technical expertise for troubleshooting, repair, modification, and new installations of equipment. 

In this position, you would troubleshoot, repair, modify, and install production and building equipment. Work closely with other team members to efficiently solve problems and reduce downtime.  Improve processes and reduce downtime to increase our overall production output.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, plan, and perform all operations necessary to install, modify, troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, rebuild and dismantle various types of complex manufacturing and support equipment.
  • Special focus on troubleshooting on controls systems, servo drives, motors, HMI’s and PLC’s on complex equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance and other proactive activities to monitor and maintain equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair of Pneumatic Allen Bradley PLC systems, Process controls, and motors and controls.
  • Coordinate with other technicians, production supervisors, engineers, and other members of the company to communicate maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors, and service vendors for technical assistance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, and drive recommendations to implementation.
  • Complete or assist other technicians or support other special projects.
  • Comply with all regulatory and safety policies.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates will be operationally savvy, detail-oriented, and possess prior electronics and mechanical experience, with expertise in offering superior levels of customer service.

  • Technical or AAS degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of Electro/Mechanical experience in automated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repair of Allen Bradley PLC systems, and motors and controls
  • Customer friendly, energetic, and highly organized
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
