Tool Technician
Location: Greensboro, NC
Position Type: Tooling, Engineering, Manufacturing
Overview:
The Tool Technician is responsible for leading an injection molding PM tool room through troubleshooting, precision measurement and mold inspection skills. Operate assigned make of CNC or manual machine(s).
Responsibilities:
  • Perform injection mold maintenance to include disassembly, cleaning, insert changing, and basic repair.
  • Maintain the preventive maintenance records for tooling per established procedures.
  • Assure tool readiness according to the production schedule.
  • Recommend changes required to part design, tool design or equipment capability to achieve acceptable quality and cost requirements.
  • Participate and offer input to corrective and preventive action and continuous improvement projects.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping practices and mold storage requirements.
  • Communicate with company employees in a positive, team-oriented manner.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintain departmental housekeeping and standards.

Qualifications:
  • Must have experience with injection molding & tools.
  • Must have ability to work in a high-pace environment in the support injection molding production.
  • Mold design, troubleshooting, and repair are required.
  • Successful candidate will possess time management skills and the ability to prioritize workflow to meet production requirements.
